While having a background of working with public and private schools for over 40 years, the author was a high school teacher and principal for almost 20 of those years. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1972 and his Masters of Education from the University of North Texas in 1978. During his teaching career, he was chosen "Who's Who in the South and Southwest" as well as being named an "Outstanding Young Educator of Texas."
In 2010 the author wrote the original “The Misadventures of Belle and Chloe,” a national award winning book of humorous short stories about his two chocolate Labs, and in April of 2012 he authored, "A Father's Story"...a book the author wrote for his son and grandsons. He and his wife Cathy live in the Dallas area.
